Carlton Contracts was first established as a specialist installer of suspended ceilings and partitions.
Over the next ten years Carlton Contracts was employed as specialist sub-contractor on some of the North West’s most prestigious construction contracts.
In 2000, Carlton Contracts acquired Tom Finney Acoustics, then the oldest suspended ceiling and partitioning contractor in the North West, to augment this service to its existing construction clients, whilst Carlton Contracts diversified into the commercial fit out and refurbishment market.
In 2002, Carlton Contracts completed construction of Anchorage Business Park including Gordon House, the new 4,000 sq. ft. office and manufacturing facility which is now at the centre of all operations.
Operating from these purpose built facilities within Preston Docklands, we offer a full office fit out service, enabling you to have all partitions, ceilings, electrical, heating and data cabling completed from a single source – a true one stop shop. We will co-ordinate all your required office fit out building work, right through to hanging artwork on the walls.

Carlton Contracts are members of the Finishes and Interiors sector (FIS) who are recognised as the country’s foremost professional body in the field of building interiors.
In terms of Health and Safety, Carlton Contracts are accredited annually by CHAS, a national body that audits and approves health and safety procedures of both the procurement and installation stages.
Carlton Contracts are also registered with SMAS and Construction Line.
